Classroom Orientation

You can visit virtually many of the classrooms in which you may be teaching this semester. You can find out what type of audio/video technology is available in your classroom by visiting Technology Enhanced Classrooms under UNH Academic Technology Learning Space Technologies. The site also provides links to active learning teaching strategies that might be used within the specific teaching space.

Once you're on the page, please select the campus and building, and click "Apply". You can also search if specific technology is equipped in the building by clicking "Equipment Available" from the drop-down menu. Find the classroom you are interested in and click on the button Click to View AV System Training Document for this Room. The menu also allows you to select classroom type listed by suitability for active learning pedagogy, an approach to teaching that has shown to increase student learning outcomes.

If you would like to visit the classroom in person and have a Learning Space Technologies staff member give you an orientation to the technology, make an appointment by simply calling our Hotline at (603) 862-2467 and asking for a "Tech to Start."

Course Specific Software

Do you have a software application that you would like each of your students to be able to use? Requirements and instructions can be found at the Course Software Installations. This list of supported UNH Academic Software Applications may be useful as you prepare to teach your first course.

Exam Scanning

Do you administer multiple choice tests to large classes? The UNH Exam Scanning Service provides everything from the printing of materials to the actual exam answer sheets scanning. All results from the exams can be posted quickly and securely to myCourses, and is accessible by faculty and teaching assistants with proper credentials. The UNH Libraries provide support for teaching, research, and other general information needs.

Departments and colleges have subject librarians who can collaborate with you to provide information literacy instruction, research assistance, partnerships to develop the library collections.
