myCourses by Canvas is the Learning Management System used at the University of New Hampshire. If you don't have any experience with this LMS, there are training resources available for all levels. Please check the Teaching and Learning Technologies Training Calendar (at-training.unh.edu) for the most current training schedule. Training is available for myCourses by Canvas sessions, Kaltura media, Zoom and Clickers. At UNH, three tools are required for your course in myCourses:

To better prepare you to teach your first course, Teaching and Learning support is offered through several offices across campus.

In addition to instructional design consultation, the Teaching & Learning Technology department also provides instructional technology and media support based on your instructional challenges. These include training sessions and helpful documentation on topics such as:

iClicker: iClicker Cloud provides an effective way to engage your students, especially for large classes. Read iClicker Cloud: Best Practices for Teaching to get better idea of this student response system.
Microsoft Teams/Kaltura: If you want to connect with your students outside of the classroom or want to record lectures videos for the snow days (we live in New Hampshire!), Teamsand Kaltura are the tools that you can use.
Accessibility: UNH has an obligation under the law to ensure all students have access to course materials. Providing content with varied access modalities helps all students succeed, not just those with identified disabilities. It is easier to design accessible content up front than it is to retrofit poor design, reactively. Start with Guidelines and Checklist to get an idea of accessibility requirement at UNH.
