Introduction

The intent of this short course is to increase awareness of issues surrounding inclusive teaching in order to enhance student success at UNH.  The course introduces a structured set of resources that will allow you to reflect on your teaching and consider ways to incorporate inclusive teaching practices in your courses. This course is self-paced and un-graded. We hope that you will find the course informative and helpful in your teaching practice here at UNH.  We also hope that the course will encourage conversations among colleagues and sharing of effective teaching practices within and across academic departments.

Scope

This course is not intended to be an exhaustive exploration of Inclusive Teaching Practices. We hope you’ll gain an awareness around Inclusiveness, find some practical tips for your teaching, and identify resources that you can explore for further information.

Course Goals

The three main goals of this course are to:

  • Increase your awareness of Inclusive Teaching
  • Provide practical resources and links to further reading about Inclusive Teaching
  • Take practical steps to make your courses as inclusive as possible
